Yesterday we had visits from a breeder that wanted to view Halagador and Donoso for breeding two of their PRE mares. I think the boys somehow knew what was going on because they gave us spectacular shows (by hand) it was great fun! As it turned out they won one lady each   and first out today was Hagge. The mare had been inseminated previously, so it was her first time natural covering. It was actually also Halagador's first time live even though he has 9 offpring MADE IN SPAIN. Natural covering is the only legal option breeding PREs for a APTO approved stallion, but as there are great risks most spanish breeders now look through this unmodern rule and use artificial insemination. And look what a race they managed to create, thank you and well done spanish ingenious breeders!
Hagge's lady is a very elegant tall, black PRE lady with E X C E L L E N T origins. Nice. Hagge thought she was very guapa and was happy to get to know her. He behaved like a proper gentleman, ohh beautiful beautiful horse, a super cool and kind guy!   And look all spanish men - no serreta is needed!   The vet wanted me to come in from an angle (?) but logically this is not a good idea if you do not want the stallion to cover the side of the mare.. And what a sweety mare, the perfect couple! Next week Donut will be visited by a black Nobleza de Guadiana lady, oohhh, look forward to seeing her!

Dear Friends, Beautiful little Emil went to heaven yesterday. He is safe with his angel now. I am certain he had to go for a purpose, although unknown to us. My heart is heavy but I have promised only to think happy thoughts when I think of Emil because he was a happy, brave and caring child and he deserves only LOVE and PEACE.
My love also goes out to Emil's family that made his 10 years full of happiness and so much love.

My house is filled with flowers and I am reading this verse for Emil:

"In radiant Shining Light,

There do I feel
The strenght of Spirit;

Death hath
Awakened me from sleep,
From the sleep of the Spirit.

I shall be
And I shall do
What the Strenght of Shining Light
Rays forth in me"

The deal is done, today I signed the reservation contract for my new house!!Hurra!! It is a wood/stone house in two floors with spectacular views, outdoor barbecue and a swimmingpool!! - Wohoooooo!  
Now we just have to wait for the papers so we can start moving in, thought I would be spending my birthday here but won't manage that date, never mind. Like Bonnie said when she was waiting endlessly for her Mini-Totilas, this gives me the opportunity to practice my zen-attitude - patience is a virtue.. This house will be a spanish home open to my family and friends, a home where the sun is always shining!   
And now I have a new dream, I want to see Emil here. Emil is a 10 year old boy in Sweden, a beautiful shiny little person that is now fighting the fight of his life. We are constantly sending him and his family our love  yesterday we had good news and day by day we are waiting for more. I keep visualizing Emil trying out the swimmingpool, happy and healthy. Heja Emil, you are my hero!

...return from Easter holidays! I've had a good relax, on the saturday we went out to eat at our favourite restaurant (Italian!) with some friends. Javier went visiting Festivo, I decided to stay home, have a good rest and do my own stuff. Thoughts are now on Festivo's future and the competition plans for him. He is slowly growing into his body and mind, and his full potential.
Today I worked out all three boys, Starts topline is getting there and there and his canter and changes are now much bigger and more powerful. Today Halagador showed me more trot extentions and there was some swing in the back, well done Hagge! You can't hear him touch the ground, he is light like a feather. I plugged in Donut and Javier said looked spectacular, so all very well with the boys. Today I had a phonecall from breeder wanting to breed his two mares with Halagador!

Ja, idag känner jag mig väldigt svensk och då blir jag sugen på att skriva på vanlig hederlig svenska. Jag såg en länk till video från de gamla godingarna Galenskaparna, vi har en grå härligt regnig men inte speciellt kall dag här i Madrid. Jag tycker faktiskt det är väldigt skönt med sådana här dagar, det är avkopplande att se 'rugget' ute inifrån ett varmt hus. Så idag vilar vi. Vila ja, det är en konst i sig, iallafall för mig. Jag måste ha en skön plats att sitta och någon tillfredställande uppgift tex läsa (försöker ha självdisciplin att inte läsa ngt som har med hästar att göra) med en kopp te eller någon bra film. Det blir även lite meditation och yoga. Under en 10års period mediterade jag rigoröst en timme på morgonen och en på kvällen. Puh, hur orkade jag tänker jag nu. Jag gjorde flertalet intensiva 10 dagars kurser i Indien, England och Sverige. Tekniken är strikt buddhistisk (Vipassana) och man koncentrerar sig i 10 dagar med följande schema. Uppstigning kl 4.00 - meditation till klockan 7 då frukost serveras. Kl 8 fortsätter man meditera och så är det lunch mellan 11.00 - 12.00. Mediation till kl 17.00 - en halvtimmes 'fika' paus (varm äppeljouice) och vidare meditation till kl 21.00 Mellan 21.00-22.00 är det föreläsning - under den mediterar man. Sen är man färdig att soooova!!
Numera tycker jag nog att den buddhistiska medelvägen är bäst LAGOM. Och dessa kurser ingår ej under mitt lagom-koncept. Men även om det låter lite extremt med alla dessa timmars konstant mediterande, med ett mål mat/ dag och utan att prata eller ens ha ögonkontakt med någon, så vet de vet vad de gör de där buddhisterna för ack vad skärpt jag var under denna tiden, inga kroppsliga plågor överhuvudtaget och jag jobbade attans så effektivt..

När jag jobbade som lärare innebar det att gå upp 4.30 på morgonen för att hinna med meditation och tunnelbanan (Stockholm) för att komma fram i tid till första engelska/svenska lektionen. Inte min melodi. Visst, allt går men jag är en nattmänniska, fråga mig vad som helst kl 12.00 och jag är helt med på noterna. När barnen anlände på morgonen var deras fröken ganska väck så jag fick alltid göra något rytmiskt såsom dikt, sång eller flöjt, föräldrarna tyckte det var utmärkt för barnen och det är det, för mig var det helt nödvändigt!

Här är jag på en av mina Indien resor, Indien är mitt favoritland för bara jag stiger iland så känner jag mig balanserad. Jag har vänner där via min morfar så till en början gick jag i hans fotspår och bodde hos dem. Jag fick se magiska platser dolda för allmänheten, lärde känna vänliga människor, själsligt välmående i form av vackra varma leenden. Trafiken är en kommunikation, de tutar för att upplysa om var de är, finns inte någon agression alls, trots totalt kaos. Spanien kunde behöva ett studiebesök. Så där slappnar jag av. Tänker alltid att där finns så mycket meningsfullt att göra, de behöver all hjälp de kan få. Jag har vänner som föder upp högklassiga fullblodshästar där så vem vet, en vacker dag kanske jag och mina vackra djur drar till Indien!?

The rain flushinging down and the wind swept curtains of rain around, like in one of those terror movies at sea. It was not cold but definitely cosy to stay inside and look at the rain from a dry-spot. All three boys got a work out, I rode Start that is now moving totally different, he just LOVES the footing and if you give him some apple he moves even better, you've got to love Start! So much heart in him. I helped Paola with Donut and Javier lounged Hagge with the Pessoa. We cleaned all tack, legprotectors in washing machine and I gave the horses their supplements. At the moment they get Glycosamine, MSN, olive oil, salt and Hyaluronic Acid. Other things I like to give in periods are Magnesium and Vitamins and Minerals Boost. I have been giving Start Farriers Formula for 2 months for his hooves, they were soft and abit flaky but now they are good again. I shoe them every 8 weeks, if they are good quality and the farrier has done a good job 8 weeks is fine. Donoso has superman-hooves, (nothing new there) they are perfect in shape, hard as rock, they grows evenly and he could easily do 12 weeks if he had to without any problem.
